From cocoa pod to chocolate bar, the project explores the entire production journey and highlights the importance of fair trade and sustainability in chocolate trade. My contributions included the design concept for ChocFest, creating stage banners, signages, walking trail map, programme materials, video graphics and illustrations of notable landmarks in Bournville and Ghana. These designs supported the festival’s open-air theatre show and other community events.
Through workshops, we worked with pupils from Bournville Primary School and Deikrom D/A Primary School in Ghana, making paper houses and paper palm drawings as part of engaging art-making activities. This collaborative effort aimed to create connections between communities and inspire conversations around global trade and shared histories. My role extended to design and lead one of three art workshops to raise awareness through creative outputs.
